brain drain

I´ve been reading an article in a newspaper about the spanish socialist government plans in order to avoid the brain drain. Most of the measures were made to improve the retribution system and the acknowledgement for research workers, so they rather prefer to stay in their own country (Spain) than leaving abroad.

European economy, in special spanish one, are suffering a worrying brain drain. A talent who moves to those places where be cared and promoted. Like any living being, talents look for the right conditions to growth and develope. If we are not able to generate this atmosphere, will be very difficult  to create, to attract and to keep them. The lack of talent drives to lost of competitivity wich prompts an estructural problem in any kind of economy, a problem that causes a loss of influence in the international context.
