growing by means of faith
Koldo Saratxaga, responsible for rescueing from the crisis the transport company Irizar. He explained in an interview to a journal the key points for that success: ´It´s all about growing people and get the best of them´, Sounds simple, easy, kid´s stuff… who doesn´t know how to make it?, believe in people?, get the best from them?, bah!, every guru would give you 1000 advices about how to make it easily.
The big thing here is that Koldo Saratxaga got more than good results by this way to do the things. He reorganized the company´s economy, expanded it and put the company to excellence in its business processes, which make Irizar a point of reference for the most prestigious business schools. And everything by trusting people?, seems it.
At the same interview I was reading things that helped me to understand the success: ´The companies of the future (innovative, creative and knowledge-based ones) require motivated and involved employees´, ´The companies are one of the few rests of dictatorship within the democratic societies, aiming to be transformed into a freedom and welfare states´, ´to squeeze machines and spoil people´, ´boss are stressed because don´t want to give others their power of decision. Their are afraid, so they spend their time controlling instead of estimulating, resposibilizing, making things easier´… and an endless amount of phrases fulled of sense. Inspirating words, deeper than famous theories far away of the reality of the companies, demonstrate that the professionals are the best kapital in a company.
Koldo, thanks for demonstrating us that it´s possible, that the only indispensable thing is flexibility and innovation, going further on, trusting and promoting freedom atmosphere… and that following all these drivers is not possible that things get wrong.
