Everybody knows that information technologies are more and more present in every field of our lives. Looking for a job is also one of them and many habits are changing also here.

First it was the email which broke the monopoly of the traditional mail as the main way of sending CV´s to the companies. At the begining it was not considered a right way to do it, that it would never work out and today, most of the CV´s are sent by through this channel. Technology transformation in companies has helped and in many cases it is now the only way to send them.

Today, in the new web 2.0 era, we find new ways to make our CV known. Will they success? Will happen the same than with the email? … well, I don´t dare to answer. But the reality shows us everyday platforms like YouTube or Google Video which provide job seekers with new possibilities. The video CV or the CV 2.0 are already a reality. In both websites we can find videos where people talk about their professional experience, skills and the rest of information that is usually included on CV´s.

For me, the main advantage of it is that it allows you to show some skills that in a traditional CV cannot be shown: hability for taking in public, own iniciative, leadership, verbal fluency…But is also true that if it is no good it could be ridiculized in public.

Far away of being just something ideal, the reality shows that there are companies dedicated to elaborate this kind of CV´s, for example Video Curriculum Digital.

Are we living a new change in recruitment?
